The Mistfall Hunter Tier List places Blackarrow and Sorcerer in S Tier for Trio teams. For Solo runs, Shadowstrix and Blackarrow take S Tier. The rankings below cover every class, explain what earns each placement, and separate coordinated team value from self-sufficient play.

Mistfall Hunter Tier List at a glance

Trio and Solo reward different strengths, so each mode has its own order. Trio favors classes that maintain pressure from a protected back line or make a coordinated push stronger. Solo favors self-sufficient classes that can choose a fight, survive an interruption, and handle both player and monster threats without an ally covering a weakness.

S Tier marks the classes that most directly exploit the strongest combat patterns in a mode. A Tier contains powerful choices with a clearer execution, matchup, or team requirement. B Tier classes still have useful roles, but they either work harder to reach their preferred fight or lose an important part of their kit in that mode.

The two lists also show why one overall ranking would be less useful. Seer rises in Trio because healing supports teammates through extended fights, while Shadowstrix rises in Solo because stealth and dashes let one player control the start and end of an engagement. Blackarrow stays in S Tier in both modes because ranged damage and kiting remain valuable with or without a team.

Trio Tier List

S Tier: Blackarrow, Sorcerer

Blackarrow is the leading ranged damage pick for Trio. The class can fire from safe distance or high ground, keep steady pressure on opponents, and kite melee threats that cannot close the gap cleanly. This makes Blackarrow especially effective when teammates create space and force the other team to divide its attention.

Sorcerer joins Blackarrow in S Tier through powerful ranged spells and broad team utility. A Sorcerer can maintain back-line pressure while offering useful answers across different fights, but missed spells are punishing. The ranking rewards players who protect their position, read an opponent’s approach, and land the important cast instead of spending every option at once.

A Tier: Seer, Shadowstrix

Seer earns A Tier because healing has direct value in a coordinated three-player group. Restoring teammates helps a team survive prolonged encounters and difficult boss fights, turning an even exchange into a winning resource advantage. The class deals less damage and has a specialized play style, so it performs best when allies stay close enough to benefit from the support.

Shadowstrix is a dangerous PvP specialist with the tools to reach vulnerable targets. Stealth, burst damage, and movement can decide a team fight when the Shadowstrix enters after opponents commit to the front line. The class takes practice, needs coordination, and has a harder time in demanding PvE boss encounters, placing it beside Seer rather than the two ranged leaders.

B Tier: Mercenary, Withered Knight

Mercenary is the sturdier melee option and performs well when the other team also wants a close-range fight. The Sword and Shield path is particularly useful into melee pressure because it combines a safer approach with quick attacks. Against opponents who hold range and kite well, Mercenary must cross open space before the class can apply its best tools.

Withered Knight can be effective when the player uses Parry reliably and turns defensive timing into close-range pressure. The class becomes much less consistent when those parries miss or when damage dealers keep moving outside its preferred distance. Strong execution can still win encounters, but Trio positioning gives ranged classes more opportunities to deny that setup.

Why ranged classes lead Trio play

Trio fights often create a recognizable front line and back line. Blackarrow and Sorcerer can stand behind allies and continue dealing damage while the other team decides whether to contest the front or dive the ranged threat. Every second spent approaching is another attack window for the ranged player and another opportunity for teammates to interrupt the push.

High ground strengthens that pattern because opponents must manage both distance and elevation. Blackarrow can punish movement with repeated ranged attacks, while Sorcerer can cover space with versatile spells. Players who panic-dodge or chase without a plan spend resources before they reach the target, which makes the eventual melee exchange less favorable.

Seer and Shadowstrix support the same structure in different ways. Seer keeps the formation alive when a fight becomes a battle of attrition, while Shadowstrix threatens an opponent who focuses too heavily on the visible front line. Their A Tier placement reflects how strongly they can improve a coordinated plan without replacing the constant damage supplied by the S Tier back line.

Mercenary and Withered Knight are not weak frontliners; their challenge is access. Both are strongest after they reach the opponent and establish a close-range exchange. A disciplined Trio can protect Blackarrow or Sorcerer, kite backward, and make that approach expensive, so the melee player needs better timing and team help to produce the same pressure.

Solo Tier List

S Tier: Shadowstrix, Blackarrow

Shadowstrix is the high-risk, high-reward Solo leader. Stealth and dashes let the class close distance, begin with an ambush, and escape when the fight turns. That control over engagement timing is especially powerful without teammates because the player can avoid a poor approach instead of waiting for someone else to create an opening.

The same strengths demand disciplined execution. Shadowstrix performs best when the player completes the burst sequence and preserves a route back into stealth or out of combat. It is less comfortable in difficult PvE boss fights, but its ability to choose and control PvP encounters gives it the strongest Solo placement.

Blackarrow shares S Tier by combining useful PvP and PvE performance with constant ranged damage. A skilled Blackarrow can kite melee players, attack from safety, and force an opponent to spend movement before dealing damage. Accurate shots matter, but the class does not need an ally to make its range useful.

A Tier: Withered Knight, Mercenary, Sorcerer

Withered Knight and Mercenary are versatile choices that handle many Solo situations and contribute strong PvE performance. Both offer direct melee plans and can punish an opponent who accepts the close-range exchange. Their main weakness is the work required to reach ranged classes that maintain distance and punish every approach.

Sorcerer also sits in A Tier. Its spells can control space and punish melee characters, giving the class a strong answer when it keeps the fight at the intended range. Difficult PvE encounters, a smaller margin for positional mistakes, and the danger created by a missed spell keep Sorcerer below Shadowstrix and Blackarrow for Solo runs.

B Tier: Seer

Seer loses much of the value of team healing when no allies are present and has lower damage output than the other choices. The Blasphemer path can move closer to A Tier through self-healing and a more offensive approach. Even with that option, Seer remains the most specialized Solo pick and the least suitable recommendation for a newcomer who wants immediate independent pressure.

How each Solo class wins its preferred fight

Shadowstrix wants to own the first contact. The class uses stealth to approach, applies burst damage before the opponent is fully prepared, then relies on movement to escape or reset. A player who controls that rhythm can deny the fair, face-to-face battle that would expose the class to unnecessary return damage.

Blackarrow wants time and distance. Every successful attack made before a melee opponent arrives increases the advantage, and kiting extends that window. High ground makes the approach even harder, while accurate ranged pressure remains useful against monsters as well as players.

Withered Knight and Mercenary want a committed close-range exchange. Withered Knight rewards dependable Parry timing, while Mercenary offers a more accessible and resilient melee plan. They become stronger when an opponent has already spent movement or cannot keep retreating, but weaker when a ranged player controls an open lane.

Sorcerer wants a protected casting position even in Solo play. Its range and spell variety can dominate a melee opponent that approaches predictably, but the player must watch every angle because there is no teammate to intercept a flank. Seer instead wants a fight where sustain matters, with Blasphemer offering the more independent route when team healing has no target.

Choose the class that fits your run

Choose Blackarrow when you want ranged damage, kiting, and a class that ranks at the top in both Solo and Trio. The class rewards aim, distance control, and awareness of high ground. It is a natural fit for players who would rather make an opponent cross dangerous space than meet them at close range.

Choose Shadowstrix when stealth, burst timing, and escape control match your preferred Solo style. It asks for more precise execution and accepts weaker boss performance in exchange for exceptional PvP control. In Trio, wait for opponents to focus elsewhere before attacking the vulnerable target.

Choose Sorcerer when you can protect a casting position and consistently land important spells. Choose Mercenary for a durable, approachable melee start, especially when Sword and Shield fits the matchup. Choose Withered Knight when reliable Parry timing and deliberate close-range decisions are your strengths.

Choose Seer for coordinated Trio support, healing, and longer encounters. In Solo, use the more offensive Blasphemer direction when you want self-healing, while accepting that the class produces less immediate pressure than the higher tiers. Every class has a useful niche, but the mode-specific rankings show which choices reach their ideal fight most consistently.
